There is something about a dog that chooses you.
Not because you feed her.
Not because you trained her.
But because she feels safe next to you.
She often rests her head on me like the world can wait. Like nothing urgent exists outside this moment. Just we💕.
It's not always that easy.
We’ve had our stubborn days.
Our days full of curiosity and speaking of "diffrerent" languages...
Our “are you serious right now?” days.
But somewhere between training sessions, long walks and quiet evenings… she became my safe place too.💖
It’s strange how a dog can hold so much of your heart without ever saying a word.

I’m truly grateful for the result.
But I know it’s easy to write these words when things go well.
The truth is, even if it hadn’t gone our way, Ardeny 🩷 would still be the same dog. And we would be the same people.
Shows are not where we look for validation.
They’re more a place to occasionally meet.
People who understand what happens quietly at home, away from the ring.
Today, e.g I was happy to see Veronika - Kaisey's breeder (targaryen.fire.toller.kennel ) and I'm sure Kaisey was too.
Or our lovely Mali 💛 from our Litter A (malithetoller).
These moments matter more to us than ribbons.
That’s why we go.
Even if only for the “required minimum.”
Congratulations to everyone else today. Truly.
Everyone who stepped into the ring today brought something with them.
And the beauty of our dogs?
It’s perfectly fine if it sometimes lives only with us at home.
That, too, is enough.

Kaisey and her firstborn son, Alfie.
They don’t live under the same roof, yet the connection is still there.
Quiet. Natural. Real.
Alfie shows her deep respect.
No pressure. No noise. Just calm presence.
Today they went for a shared a short hike together with Martin,
while Ardeny enjoyed her own focused training elsewhere with me.
Different paths. Same harmony.💞
Grateful for moments like these —
when dogs remind us that relationships are not about proximity,
but about trust, balance, and mutual respect. 🐾✨
